Opal Jelly

This product was inspired by glacial fed streams I encountered while hiking in the boreal forest. Cool blue water rushing over moss covered stones, softening as it goes. I wanted to create something I could see an elfin queen using. A hydrating gel that was light and cooling, like sticking your feet in a creek on a hot day.

Opal jelly is a hydrating gel made to stand on its on for easy daily use or to be layered with serums and balms for deep absorption. Hydrosol, glycerin and snow mushroom quench and provide humectant properties.

Juniper - Stimulates lymphatic movement and helps with cell turnover.
Violet - Demulcent, mucilaginous and soothing. Contains salicylic acid which helps gently decongest clogged pores.
Chamomile - Long used skin healer, from acne to rocacea, due to its high azulene compounds. Which are anti-inflammatory and antiseptic.
Snow mushroom (tremella fuciformis) is rich in polysaccharides and helps hydrate the skin by binding moisture to its surface. Aspen bark powder - gentle exfoliator
Aspen - Gentle exfoliator.
Blue Spirulina - Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. Fatty acids in blue spirulina support the skin's lipid barrier which in turn improves tone and texture of the skin.

To use - Apply after cleansing. Can be used alone or layered with serums and balms.
Lovely to use in tandem with gua sha or facial massage. I recently added some to a clay mask and enjoyed the additional hydration along side the drawing properites of the clay.
